The more elaborate tungsten wedding bands were chosen with the groom in mind. We selected designs that are suitable for a wedding band yet reflect an individuality and uniqueness of style. Our patterned rings include an alligator skin design, a multi-faceted model, or a checkered style. We also offer two-tone options made of tungsten carbide and zirconium, another strong metal that is similar to titanium; zirconium. Our two-tone models are also patterned in alternating rows, triangles, and diamonds. There are also tungsten bands striped through with black stripes or black carbon fiber. This black and silver combination is a state-of-the-art design that is almost impossible to find at most other jewelers.
While we call our rings tungsten wedding bands they are actually made of a tungsten carbide metals. Tungsten carbide registers quite high on the Moh’s scale of hardness at 8.5-9.0 where 10 is diamond, the hardest known substance in the world. In addition this metal is non-reactive and considered hypoallergenic. As a result the wearer will not have any adverse reaction to the metal including rash or skin discoloration. Our tungsten wedding bands are highly polished and considered very scratch resistant and less likely to bend or become misshapen like some of the softer metals. Our tungsten wedding bands are also cobalt free as cobalt is said to cause occasional skin irritation. Instead our tungsten carbide uses nickel as a binder instead of cobalt.
